Georgia Promise Scholarship Program is aimed to empower families zoned for underperforming schools to pursue exceptional educational programs through nonpublic schooling, including the Augusta Science Academy. Should eligible families choose to leave public school (or forgo attending as a new kindergartener) to participate, the Georgia Promise Scholarship will allow selected families to use funds for private school tuition and fees, and other approved expenses. For 2025-2026 school year, the program is funded to cover only about 7,000 students statewide, not all eligible students may be selected. Selection is to be made by the program administrators based on need not on order of application submission.
